About Us
& History
Hullco-Layton Garage was started in 1939 by Ed Hull. Ed worked on everything from local cars to farm equipment. His son Doug grew up in the business and his love for old cars led him to building up one of the areas premiere antique car restoration shops.
|
Art Bastian also developed a great love for cars at an early age. Art opened Newton Speed & Auto in 1973. There, Art built Race Cars, and specialized in Muscle Cars, Corvettes and classic car restoration.
|
Art joined forces with Doug in 2001. Word of mouth has brought many interesting and exciting muscle car restoration projects to the shop for them to work on. In the Gallery you will find just a few of the vintage car restoration projects we worked on in the last several years.

Most Important to a classic car restoration shop is its team.
Doug Hull is a master fabricator. Classic car restoration is his passion. If a piece
of a car can't be found, he can make it from scratch. Doug is also an excellent
body man, painter and mechanic. He has restored Hershey winning Model A's,
Packards, Muscle Cars and more.
Art Bastian is an excellent engine builder. He has run a complete engine machine
shop, doing all types of automotive engines and specializing in high performance
and race car engines. He has even rebuilt the engines on an Oshkosh award
winning Cessna 310. Art is also a skilled mechanic and painter.
Steve Decker is an Excellent Mechanic, Machinist and Fabricator.
He has been with Art since 1973 and has been working on classic & antique car
restoration.
Ray Rios has worked here for 4 years and is well known for his excellent paint
and body work on our vintage car restoration projects. Ray's baby is a '57 Chevy
and his wife owns a '66 Chevelle.
James Crozier is a #1 mechanic and assembler. He just gets things to work.
Jim's passion is classic hot rods. James and Ray came to Hullco from another
First Class antique car restoration facility.
Scott Oakley has been with the crew for 2 years, but has been working with cars
for a few years. He helps with disassembly, assembly, prep work and parts
storage. Scott went to school for metal work and welding. He is a valuable asset
to our vintage car restoration shop.
